BEST DEER ATTRACTANT EXPERIMENT(1/2) | W/ Big&J, Monster Meal, And Big Tine – The Outdoorsmen

A question that has been around for quite some time and asked by so many hunters was answered in this video! Which attractant do deer prefer! The Outdoorsmen team has tired about every different attractant on the market. So we decided to take the top three and put them out at the same to see which the deer preferred! Now we will be conducting the part 2 to this experiment in the late season to see if anything changes but hope you all enjoy part 1!!!

Corn itself is cheaper than big tine corn.

  2. The Lindsey Way on January 27, 2023 at 4:35 am

enjoyed the review, we’ve done the test too with the exact same results!

  3. David Reed on January 27, 2023 at 4:38 am

What ever happened to putting out APPLES?

  4. Want2bOutdoors on January 27, 2023 at 4:39 am

Might as well get some allgrain and some type of corn. Comes out to about 15 dollars give or take. Using the liquid big and J is best since in my area powders don’t last in certain areas of Ar Kansas (that’s how I say it cause it’s funny and I’m from Ohio😂😂😂)

  5. Andrew G. on January 27, 2023 at 4:39 am

Big Tine is the real deal. All hunters I know and talk to use it. Even Missy Oak pro staff

  6. Want2bOutdoors on January 27, 2023 at 4:39 am

Plus all the scents combined brought them in.

  7. Delette Collins on January 27, 2023 at 4:40 am

What Mac app are you using to view the sd card?

  8. Douglas Nyhof on January 27, 2023 at 4:40 am

You’re already feeding monster meal so they’re used to it.

  9. Hammer Head Archery on January 27, 2023 at 4:43 am

Big and J is overrated for sure

  10. Francois Dupont on January 27, 2023 at 4:44 am

would have been better to just go and check the leftovers. less= more effective.

    Real Outdoorsman hunt without bait

  12. Andrew Lelie on January 27, 2023 at 4:48 am

The only thing that I can think of that makes this experiment tricky is that yes maybe big tine was the most eaten product but which product brought in the most deer by its smell rather than taste? You can’t tell the difference between which bait “attracts” the deer

  13. Estell Tabor on January 27, 2023 at 4:48 am

I also believe you can condition the deer to eat what you want. I’m sure Big Tine is good stuff but I couldn’t imagine the birds around that stuff.

  14. Send It on January 27, 2023 at 4:48 am

    You have no clue

  15. stick jr. on January 27, 2023 at 4:48 am

Bbj. I don’t need to watch. Corn is king.

  16. Kyle Wolff on January 27, 2023 at 4:53 am

It’s kinda hard to judge the bigtine when you’ve used that product primarily in the area

  17. Joseph Dobbins on January 27, 2023 at 4:55 am

Hi, what Big Tine are you using?
    Thanks
    Joe

  18. Send It on January 27, 2023 at 4:56 am

If you need feed you are not a real hunter , fair chase is the way a real hunter hunts, anyone can slaughter a deer over piles of corn, be a real man

  19. Jerimah Johnson on January 27, 2023 at 4:56 am

What’s in the monster 💀 meal

  20. Isaac Searles on January 27, 2023 at 5:02 am

I appreciate this experiment!! Gave me some tips..

  21. Kyle Simmons on January 27, 2023 at 5:03 am

We’ve got another here in the northwest that’s been doing fantastic, be curious how it compares to big tine.. it’s called barley buck

  22. Jacob Byler on January 27, 2023 at 5:03 am

That’s Awesome I didn’t know big tine was that good I always used big&j and said it was the best you could buy

  23. Jacob Jeckles on January 27, 2023 at 5:04 am

If the deer are use to eating the big time would they not prefer that over the other two?

  24. Morgan on January 27, 2023 at 5:05 am

I used Big B+J and all it brought me was hogs.. every single time I used it.. -10000/10

  25. MOTommyBoy on January 27, 2023 at 5:06 am

I normally have to pay extra for the ‘Full Big Tine Experience.’

  26. FREEDOM HARD on January 27, 2023 at 5:06 am

Excellent video all the way around. You gave prices, your opinion and backed it with overwhelming evidence, excellent pictures. The video showing you pulling up and the little things like that make this video outstanding.

  27. J.C.1287 on January 27, 2023 at 5:07 am

I’ve always us peanut butter and they tear it up

  28. John Stokes on January 27, 2023 at 5:09 am

I hunt Florida iv tried lots of stuff but the big tine is some good stuff

  29. A Moore on January 27, 2023 at 5:09 am

I have used the Big & J here in Vermont and had the same issue with it molding

  30. RIK on January 27, 2023 at 5:09 am

Great expierment. Really like the simplicity and none bias approach. I am totally confused by all the stuff at the stores. I have used the food blocks and the deer tear them up ( so do the Regiment of Squirrels LOL). I have looked at many home made YouTube types of homemade stuff but ( time is money) and I have a small hunting area, surrounded by acres of crops and forrest.

Corn works good for me and is pretty cheap down here. 6.00 for a 50 pound bag.

I just want to add a stronger drawing source. I have watch deer warch deer walk 30 yards from my bait and not even take a look.
I need something that will draw them into the dinner table. Any recommendations?

The deer that I have seen walk by are coming from a soy bean field heading back to their bedding areas. I just need them to make pit stop. The reason I can’t shoot them is there is a stream / ditch between my plot and their route.

They are hitting my spot at night and the squirrels are there all the time.

Again, appreciate the video and really enjoy the time , effort and honest presentation.
    Your a nature !

I had shoulder surgery 4 weeks ago and had been bored out of my mind. About 3 weeks ago I noticed a bachelor group passing thru the woods behind my neighbors about 75 yards away. So I figured I’d set out a trail camera and feed some different combinations. I always put BB2 on my corn, and the 1st night got 7 different bucks. I’ve tinkered with different feeds and minerals for years. Peanuts did really well and of course peanut butter. I will try the Big Tine on my farm. To be honest I could see me mixing them all sometimes. To all those on the just feed corn, it’s not a good source of protein.

  32. austin2432009 on January 27, 2023 at 5:11 am

Taking way to long to get to the results and adding way to much crap. Like driving 1mph to the piles after you already went up there to setup the camera. And over explaining every photo as well.

  33. Chester Shandor on January 27, 2023 at 5:12 am

I used big and j and it molded quickly wich I live in southeast virginia and this was in April so, yea.

  34. stevo Kay on January 27, 2023 at 5:12 am

You’ve convinced me. I’m from Canada but coming to Maine this weekend to buy some! Nice video

  35. Greg Blackburn on January 27, 2023 at 5:13 am

Blue Jay’s, chipmunks, and squirrels are biggest feed thieves!!!! Especially that darn Blue Jay!!! Great video man and thanks for your help the other day. Keep up the amazing work for the every day normal hunter.

  36. Lee Knudsen on January 27, 2023 at 5:15 am

Great review!! However, it would have been more thorough to see the three products compared to plain old corn. Same test, just throw a bag of plain-jane corn there on the end just to see what would happen. It would be hilarious to see those deer pass the other $$$ bags of product to destroy a $5 bag of corn.

  37. Joshua Long on January 27, 2023 at 5:16 am

Good experiment. I agree with your assessment. I have proven also that deer will prefer the bigtine over other attractants. I have also had big n J and Monster meal mold after a short time.

  38. leonardc22 on January 27, 2023 at 5:18 am

Imma try Big Time cause it got 30-06 on it 😂

  39. Josh Narron on January 27, 2023 at 5:20 am

Big Tine is cheaper because its all the left overs from the grain mill. It doesn’t cost much to produce because you’re getting the bottom of several grain bins and all that has to be done is to bag it. My local feed mill makes a very similar product to Big Tine and that’s how its made.

  40. Ryan on January 27, 2023 at 5:25 am

He probably pissed on the other feeds,..who pay you? ,..BIG TIME?!!

  41. Palitsalagi Vickers on January 27, 2023 at 5:25 am

very good.Buy a bag of baby spinach and put that down….it be gone soon.

  42. Bruce Turner on January 27, 2023 at 5:26 am

I wish you would’ve put Rice Bran , I tried it this last fall in 2020 during deer season it was the first time I tried it I also put Big Tine in my Spin deer feeder, I put the rice bran out the evening before my morning hunt and no deer came to my feeder in the morning but a doe came out that morning and feed on the rice bran then after she left a mature 7 pt came out and feed on the rice bran too. I passed up on the buck because I thought he was younger. The deer love the rice bran here in South East Arkansas it would be interesting to see which one would win out , I may have to test it out like you did and just put them in piles on the ground. Thanks for the idea.

  43. Nickolas Gonzo on January 27, 2023 at 5:28 am

I have had a positive experience with Big Tine not to say the others are bad. I am just impressed by how much success Big Tine product has been for me.

  44. Joe on January 27, 2023 at 5:29 am

Ive used big tine for several years now. Check out Lockdown outdoors. Great product. Worth a try. Trust me.

  45. J.C.1287 on January 27, 2023 at 5:29 am

Is deer cane black magic any good? I bought two bags today

  46. D Sacrod on January 27, 2023 at 5:30 am

    Incredible video – good instructions.

  47. Harry Johnson on January 27, 2023 at 5:30 am

Great review. But possible someone on another property is using bigtime an they are use to it. But i doubt it

  48. Cade Crocker on January 27, 2023 at 5:31 am

Big Tine is by far the most natural attractant. I’ve Drawn in deer from my neighbors with it. It works.

  49. NCHurricaneHunter on January 27, 2023 at 5:32 am

Pro tip: find out the main contents of Big Tine, find a bulk feed/grain store (I live in ENC so they’re everywhere) or an Amish store where they sell bulk, buy a massive amount and store them in food grade barrels, make your own mix to save money.
