Choosing The "Best" Small Game Hunting Rifle

Choosing The "Best" Small Game Hunting Rifle

I get asked a lot about what rifle and equipment I use in my small game hunting videos and also what is the best small game rifle. I figured I would make a video explaining what I use and how to choose the best rifle, shotgun or airgun for your situation. I discuss the firearm selection, bullet selection, optics, “silencers” or suppressors, and what I prefer to use. I hope this helps you make an informed decision on which rifle, shotgun or airgun you need to get into small game hunting or to possibly get your kids involved in the sport. Thanks for watching!

Great video. I’ve had great luck with a Ruger 10-22. Cheap and accurate with CCI standard or faster ammo. I always buy ammo in bulk. Sometimes different lot numbers will shoot differently. Ton of cool upgrades available too. Thanks for sharing!

I just ordered a Hatson 95 .25 for my first gun of any kind. looking to hunt rabbit and squirrel and maybe some birds. I went for the .25 for a more forgiving kill zone and more killing power.
    was this a decent choice?

Nice video, Thanks! I use a suppressed Anschutz 1416 .22lr with a SWFA 6x fixed power scope for all small game upp to 100 meters. Have the best results with the 1416 using Eley and RWS subsonic. Norma TAC.22 works great for target and plinking :-)) I prefer a fixed power scope because with a variable power scope it is easy to mess upp the point of impact if you use the mill dot reticle on different power.
