Nice! I’m considering taking my sporterized .303 for late doe season here in Michigan….I’m getting hyped up by looking up .303 videos and came across your stuff…good content man

  2. nomad Terry on January 27, 2023 at 4:13 am

How far range you get deer at

  3. Jason D on January 27, 2023 at 4:14 am

Don’t even try to hit a paper target with 303. They only kill deer and Nazi’s.

Looks like a Parker Hale conversion .

Used to hunt Scottish stags with A LE 303. Perfect round. I like the fact you don’t take out the matriarch too, very wise. Let her pass on the jungle craft!

Could a 303 Ball FMJ bullet be used for hunting deer or wild boar?

  13. Fish Bucks And Bullets on January 27, 2023 at 4:28 am

I really enjoyed the video. My dad bought me a No 4 Mk 1 as my first big game hunting rifle when I was 12 years old. Using the ol’ peep sight I got my first deer with it that year and got an elk with it a few years later. I had to comment when I heard you list the calibers you went through. I went from a 303 to a 300 Win mag to a 243, then a 30-06 and finally a 7mm-08 like you. Love the 7mm-08 and it is my go to hunting rifle now but I still have the 303 and 243 and kind of wish I still had the 30-06 but I sold it a few years ago. I just bought a Savage model 340 bolt action 30-30 . Couldn’t pass it up. But now I’m wanting to get some work done on my 303 and hunt with it again! Great shot on that doe! Subbed to your channel.

Turkey Season is coming up for my state, and I’ve never shot a Shotgun before. Does anyone know what a 12 gauge Birdshot feels like?

  16. Big6Red3 on January 27, 2023 at 4:33 am

Awesome hunt that land you where hunting on looks like the land that rifle would have saw service on the trenches and mud

  17. oncall21 on January 27, 2023 at 4:34 am

That’s a perfect shot with open sights at that range. I used to own an SMLE No2 Mk2 303. Great to see you honoring your father’s rifle and I love your hunting ethics! Thanks for sharing!

I just got mine of my dad. His dad brought it with him from scotland to canada back in 1955. Now it’s mine.

Thank you for this video. My father left me his grandfathers old Enfeild. It was the family deer gun back in the day in Michigan. I’m looking forward to getting my Enfield out to a hunt. Again, thanks for this video and good shooting.

  21. J. Ongman on January 27, 2023 at 4:41 am

My dad is giving me a 1917 SMLE. My grandfather had it for 50 years.

  29. Медведь Медведь on January 27, 2023 at 4:52 am

You really messed up by sporterizing that rifle. It’s supposed to be bedded on the front end of the rifle with the original stock

  30. Mark Williams on January 27, 2023 at 4:53 am

    Happy New Year my friend.

  31. Shane Little on January 27, 2023 at 4:53 am

Nice shooting mate, I’m in Australia I have the same rifle but I use mine for pigs with 150gn soft points. They are a beautiful rifle to use. Happy hunting mate.

I love them old rifles, I have the same gun i killed a deer with here in michigan last year. Was one of my grandfather’s guns I inherited. I remember that he got from a lady for some firewood she couldn’t pay him for.

  34. mcloven Garcia on January 27, 2023 at 4:56 am

Great video brother i have a question you like the 303 or you prefer comercial rifles like 270,3006,308 etc?

  35. Torrence Monroe on January 27, 2023 at 4:57 am

We enjoy your videos. Thanks for passing on your knowledge about the importance of not shooting the lead doe.

  36. John Barnhardt on January 27, 2023 at 4:58 am

Nice shot and a nice doe! I shot my only moose with my brothers borrowed 303 back in the 70s. I have shot a few elk and deer with that caliber since.

Love my .303’s, especially my No.4 mk1*s! The Turkey’s and feral Goats don’t get up again!

  45. James Tucker on January 27, 2023 at 5:08 am

Paper patching the bullets can correct wartime production bore size issues. Slug the barrel for actual bore. Paper patch bullet and resize round. That rifle you used has no accuracy issues.

  46. Эван Одегаард on January 27, 2023 at 5:09 am

Mine is just like it, its my first riffle

  47. Mario on January 27, 2023 at 5:10 am

What happened to the wood on the front of the barrel?

  48. Goofthunder on January 27, 2023 at 5:10 am

I’m pretty sure that’s a No5 Mk 1 lee enfield, or “Jungle carbine”
