They should remaster this
Even though I absolutely loved this game, something about it scared me as a kid… I don’t know what it was, the vibe and atmosphere always felt off. Maybe it’s just to me lol. Those breathing/panting sounds also didn’t help, they still are kinda scary even now.
M
I’m currently playing and can’t find any animals? 🤷♀️
I have the 2004 Season and 2005 Adventures for the PC. The ’05 on PC is completely different from this. The ’04 on PC is actually just the rebranded Cabela’s BGH on Gamecube that came out in 2002 I think. This game is actually the 2006 Trophy Season, which I never played fully through until recently. I always liked the more free and open feel the other BGH games had, whereas this one was linear. I didn’t like it at first but I felt sad when I finally finished the game.
I just wish the locations were more specific and easier to pin. Trying to figure out where all these locations are in real life based on species and environment can lead to too many variables or ones that don’t add up.
ANYONE KNOW WHERE I CAN BUY THIS PLEASEEEE
You are really bad at this game lol.
NOSTALGIAA
There was one time I randomly shot at a mountain and killed a bear hundreds of years away
The whole game was about this dude being fatigued the whole time like a dam fatass
This was my jam at 8
Dude I legit remember playing this and can’t remember wants it’s called so much looked up on YouTube “GameCube hunting games” and this popped up first. Ah the nostalgia
I miss the game so much. It taught me alot about hunting. And about the animals and how they work their environment.this game was absolutely amazing.
DUDE CAN YOU PLEASE PUT UP THE SOUND TRACK OF THIS GAME !!!!
THAT ONE GOES ON THE HIGH SCORES LIST… 😁👍🏼
This was the shit back in the day
I loved this game
I played this on my old PC with a tube monitor, what a memories
Anyone remember how this game would glitch out when you come out of a tree stand and it would give you fall damage?
Great game😀 bringst back the nostalgia🙂 it was the first shooting game i had bought and the first hunting game. Awesome!😀♥️ I had Played it through several times and i enjoyed it every time.😀♥️ Big and good memories with that game! Aaah, the memories…………..
I quit this game so many times than finally beat it after years because I got scared when I got attacked by a bear or mountain lion. Than I finally finished it cause I got over my fear
50:27 I’m about to end this whole man’s career
God I will never forget the sound of running out of stamina in this game 😭😢
Heavy Breathing: The Game
i remember the graphics being way better lol
I remember playing this at my dad when I was younger. Probably my favorite game he owned.

This was the first videogame I ever bought when I got my gamecube,
Will be watching this in the background while I work from home for the day 🙂
Awesome game
I loved playing this game as a kid but i played it on PC. Watching this console gameplay was traumatising because it looked so difficult to line up the shots.
My Instagram name and username for everything is still Vertigo Pass. 15 years ago because of this game, those video game memories are my favorite of all time.
The Nostalgia is unbearable
i never got very far in this game but it still brought me joy
love it
Thank you for uploading this…. I was stuck on the forest brown bear map because I didn’t know where the next lodge was at!
I did manage to beat this once, as I did with all the PS2 Cabela’s games.
ok Ok!
I’m sure you were all waiting for this one 😉 lol. Big Game Hunter is very different from Outdoor Adventures (which is in my opinion the worst of the series). Big Game Hunter follows a very thin storyline where you (the hunter) decide to go on hunting tour and kill a bunch of wildlife to win a trophy for your father. How sweet. So, basically, this game allows you to kill more than just deers like in Outdoor Adventures which is great. You get to shoot bears, wolves, moose and much more while you travel through different areas such as the swamp, the mountains and obviously a snow area and some others. Every couple of areas you get to a hut where you can rest, stock up on supplies and get new hunting tags. The areas are pretty big and they are all unique, which is cool because the graphics look decent.
One thing I didn’t like about Outdoor Adventures is how it was very specific at what type of deer you had to kill and you’d often get penalty’s (nor could you ever really see what deer it was as the rendering distance sucked), fortunately in this game, most areas only have specifically one animal in it. So one area is full with bears, the other is full with deers. Not always, but most of the time. So just shoot whatever you see moving.
Anyways this isn’t the best game to longplay but I gave my "shot" at it. There’s obviously a lot of luck involved with games like these. You’ll see me scoping animals from way too far a lot of the times because nothing is more satisfying than seeing your bullet travel like a kilometer and ending with a headshot. Honestly that was probably the most fun part about the game and I suggest that’s what you try and do too if you were to play this. Bullets are unlimited anyways. I had some extremely sick shots in this game and if you find any, point them out. lol.
Lastly, I like how this game progresses from a fairly normal hunting game to crossing dangerous bridges, climbing (with climbing animation!) rocks, walkin down steep hills and finding yourself being attacked by a horde of aggressive wolves. For some reason it felt very exciting and realistic for me to run through all these areas. That’s coming from somebody who thought he made the biggest mistake ever upon purchasing and trying out the first Cabela game. I’m looking forward to the final remaining GameCube Cabela game which is supposedly even better.
We’ll leave the light on for ya
You are incredibly frustrating to watch. 😅 I took this game so seriously as a kid, turning off trophy beacons, stalking and tracking animals, and only shooting when i had a clear shot. Seeing you play like an enraged psychopath was super entertaining but aggravating for me. 😜 Good luck if you ever try playing theHunter: Call of the Wild. That game really puts the world "Simulator" in "Hunting Simulator".
The best hunting game I’ve ever played. The hours I spent playing this game. The long distance Grizzly kills through bullet cam. Using a stand to avoid attacks. Even my dad would trip to this game when Id play it. Good times!
Cabelas has never made a better hunting game than this one in my opinion. This will always remain one of my childhood favorites.
Ok.
Question, is there a way to put the markers to see the animals on where they are or is it just on GameCube? Cause I have it on XBOX.
I’m 7 years old all over again.
Goblin wtf bro
this gameplay was not good
I remember as a kid my dad use to take me and my brother to the store to rent a game for the weekend, and I would always rent the same game every time, It was a hunting game and I cant find what it use to be called. I always did the same thing and drive the quad around all the time lol. It was on the xbox original
Man i remember playing through this game like 30 times when i was a lil’ kid and the bears ALWAYS scared the living crap out of me.
So much so i had to close my eyes when i pulled the trigger because i hated when the cam got up close to them you could really see the bears!
Good times.
