7.62x54R, .308, .300 Win Mag, and 50 BMG are my favorites. 54R is absolutely my top favorite.

  2. Cade Morris on January 27, 2023 at 4:27 am

280 ai for elk and deer

  3. Ken Watson on January 27, 2023 at 4:29 am

If you’re in dense woods like Michigan, 35 Remington does the trick! Plows thru brush and blows big holes in deer, Elk, Caribou. I’d stop it up to a 30/06 for a moose or bear cuz of all the options you have

  4. Paul Wilson on January 27, 2023 at 4:29 am

    Hunger Game and Squid Game?

  5. Owen Gartzke on January 27, 2023 at 4:31 am

What was the first gun he showed?

  6. Adam on January 27, 2023 at 4:32 am

Does he have to hit his hand on rifles everytime he talks SMH annoying

  7. Caleb Mcnelly on January 27, 2023 at 4:33 am

308 is 100% best round for deer. but honestly i prefer to hunt with compound bow.

  8. Kamron Keith Chiasson on January 27, 2023 at 4:34 am

You better not be using 223 for deer

  9. Russell Keeling on January 27, 2023 at 4:35 am

I can tell by the ammo capacity of each firearm you displayed you are not very secure with you ability to place one good shot. None of those rifles would be comfortable to carry with a sling.

  10. Mitty MO on January 27, 2023 at 4:38 am

Why didn’t you talk about the felt recoil from the lightweight 300 win-mag?

  11. Brandon Hill on January 27, 2023 at 4:39 am

223 and 243 for coyote. 243 and 30-30 for Pronghorn, 6.5 Creedmoor and .308 for Muley, 30-06 for Elk and bigger

  12. You Grow I Grow on January 27, 2023 at 4:41 am

I love the 308, but after using my friends 338 Lapua I might have to reconsider

  13. brett on January 27, 2023 at 4:49 am

I don’t get to go out hunting much due to time restraints but I can go out to the range every once and a while. Personally with my situation 308 make much more sense to me. Cheaper ammo and more availability for going to the range. And honestly 308 is deadly accurate out to 700-800 yards. While hunting I will not take a shot past 300 yards. Farther than that you start getting into unethical hunting.

  14. Brandenuzis6788 on January 27, 2023 at 4:49 am

I have a Henry 6.5 creedmoor and I love it nice and smooth hard hitter

  15. Kevin Freeman on January 27, 2023 at 4:49 am

To me 270 is the best for deer. I grew up in Georgia and that’s all we hunt. Other calibers are good, don’t get me wrong. But if it’s good enough to take down a human then it’s good enough to take down a deer.

  16. Jay on January 27, 2023 at 4:50 am

    .308 done

  17. Lee Mitchum on January 27, 2023 at 4:51 am

Savage 110 hunter 180 grain 30-06. For south Carolina deer and hog. Anything bigger I just use my 1911 230 grain ball

  18. Folder Wars on January 27, 2023 at 4:51 am

    700 nitro only

  19. Teddy-jareau Hudson on January 27, 2023 at 4:53 am

What about the 222 is it still good

  20. Dave P on January 27, 2023 at 4:54 am

Does the 6arc work it’s way into this?

  21. oldbonesbushcraft Rod Jackson on January 27, 2023 at 4:55 am

    30-06

  22. Watch. Write. Ramble on January 27, 2023 at 4:55 am

Question from someone brand new to guns/hunting:

What’s the difference between hunting with rifles and hunting with automatic weapons? Is it just monetary investment, or is one much more accurate? Or other stuff?

Sorry if it’s a dumb question, I am unfamiliar with all this, but I’m genuinely interested in learning.

  23. eduardo corona on January 27, 2023 at 4:56 am

    2.70 140 gr.

  24. bjdenil on January 27, 2023 at 4:56 am

Creedmore is great ballistically. It is a good round. In my opinion, Whitetail is about as big as you can go with it ethically.

  25. Luke Thibodaux on January 27, 2023 at 4:56 am

Since when is a 6.5 CM faster than a 308? Most common bullet weights are 140 and 150gr and the 308 starts out with an extra 120ish fps, of course the Creedmoor catches up with it very quickly with it’s much more aerodynamic bullets, but of course the 308 always has the advantage of being a larger caliber good for making larger holes in things. Long story short for hunting inside 200 yards get the 308, for 200-400 yards get the 6.5mm for anything past 400 get a good magnum.

  26. 2Stroke Me on January 27, 2023 at 4:56 am

The best caliber is the one that dispatched the game you shot at.

  27. Huck green on January 27, 2023 at 4:58 am

To me the two best rounds for deer is the 30-06 and the 308 bc I can always find 308 and I just love the 30-06

  28. Douglas Brenner on January 27, 2023 at 4:58 am

A lot of places won’t allow you to hunt with a .223/ 5.56 rifle. In Nebraska, you can’t hunt with a .223 / 5.56 ball or full metal jacket. You must use a hollow point, or soft point type bullet.

  29. Debbie Miller on January 27, 2023 at 4:58 am

    30.06 aka Gods caliber.

  30. Jason Davey on January 27, 2023 at 4:59 am

I do not understand why this video is pulling up for north florida deer calibers when the first few calibers, 45% of the video was about jokes, coyotes and hogs. I wasn’t looking for jokes, ammo shortage, western/mountain, or overpowered calibers.

  31. paro8344 on January 27, 2023 at 5:01 am

Pretty new to getting into this world. I’ve hunted a handful of times int he past but now I’m searching for my first rifle. For my first rifle, I’d like something that can take down white tail, mule deer and elk. I did some hunting in Montana and borrowed a 7 mm Remington. I really liked it, and it did the job. Anybody have any good recommendations/advice on what gun I should be looking for-for this kind of game? Thanks!

  32. Carguy302 on January 27, 2023 at 5:03 am

308 wins over 6.5 due to cost.

  33. Daniel Hawkins on January 27, 2023 at 5:04 am

    “For you Navy guys”
    😂😂😂

  34. Robert Ross on January 27, 2023 at 5:07 am

Why are you showing all your rifles with extended clips? What point are you trying to make? 7mm 165 is the best all around rifle and cartridge period! Put your big boy rifles back in the box and your little balls back in your pants…

  35. Russell Keeling on January 27, 2023 at 5:07 am

The .223 is a varmint round and not legal for big game hunting in my state. If you can only choose one caliber don’t make it the .223. It’s what I use as a truck gun for around the ranch but not my hunting caliber. Twenty four caliber is the minimum usable for big game in Colorado.

  36. Tim Schultz on January 27, 2023 at 5:08 am

Guys stick to what you’re good at! There are more than 3 calibers to hunt with, I probably wouldn’t hunt with any of the rifles I saw on here.

  37. Nick Mirosavich on January 27, 2023 at 5:09 am

What Would be an all Around good Caliber that’s Cost Efficient and not Extinct As of October 2022😂 Let me know much Appreciated👍🏼

  38. Russell Keeling on January 27, 2023 at 5:10 am

A semi auto in my state, if you are hunting, cannot hold more than 5 rounds.

  39. Gerardo Vazquez on January 27, 2023 at 5:11 am

It’s all good if you were born differently, I was too plus I’ve had 2 brain 🧠 injuries. We all have limitations in certain areas.

  40. Steve Plantek on January 27, 2023 at 5:11 am

I have the seven mag I’ve taken mule deer elk flat shooter versatile. I love it and I can say it’s the best round but I shooted well and happy with it. I like the 308 also but there’s a lot of good rounds out there

  41. fed up on January 27, 2023 at 5:13 am

"Classic firearms", but all you see behind him are AR style, tactical, or black rifles.

  42. Thotful96 on January 27, 2023 at 5:13 am

.223 isn’t used by the military we use .556 NATO. Just thought you should know…

  43. 👻We know sports🎃 on January 27, 2023 at 5:14 am

    I have saw a guy drop a moose with a 6.5 creedmoor

  44. Ian Stradian on January 27, 2023 at 5:15 am

I’ve hunted most small, medium and large game in North America.
The white tail deer and wild hogs are what I consider the game animals I hunt on a regular basis.
The 223/5.56 can be used to hunt white tail deer and wild hog , I prefer a larger bullet like a 270.
I have hunted mule deer with 243, 270, and 308, but the only wild hog I’ve needed these larger calibers for are the largest hogs in the woods.
Wild hog hunting with a 223/5.56 needs to be done with the proper ammunition.
I’ve taken two pronghorns with a 223 on my AR pattern rifle, shot placement and ammunition were the only reason I attempted this.

  45. Mike on January 27, 2023 at 5:16 am

.303 british. Some people dog it,b ut its a damn good round.

  46. Donald Moser on January 27, 2023 at 5:16 am

The 243 Win,257 Roberts, 300 Savage, 30/30, 308, and 30/06 using hand loaded charges work well. However, the industry wants those who are new to hunting to reinvent the wheel.

  47. eduardo corona on January 27, 2023 at 5:17 am

Have not seen you in a while.

  48. Evan Ramirez on January 27, 2023 at 5:19 am

so it sounds like 65 Creedmoor is better suited for beginner long distance hunters since the coefficient is more flat? and once they get used to those tactics they can branch out to the 308 for more of the stopping power?

  49. Artan Mallakaj on January 27, 2023 at 5:21 am

what do you think about the caliber 7.62×39, can it be used for pigs up to 200 meters away, what do you think, does it have the effect of knocking down a pig? soft point 124 grains.

  50. Conky on January 27, 2023 at 5:22 am

he said an M14 is "incredibly lightweight" haha
