Never hunt without both pairs of my Under Armour gloves. Decoy gloves and mid weight. Never cold hands. Also face paint is a must for me

What do you think about getting on http://www.gunstreamer.com?

For years I always thought Sitka was a joke because of how expensive it was, never even considered it. I needed to buy some warmer clothes so I tried on the Dakota hoody but compared it to the outer jackets from all the top brands in the next isle. Banded, drake, whatever, whatever. The slim fitting dakota hoody was warmer and seemed higher quality than all of the other coats and only a little more expensive so I picked it up. I love it. Now I have the pantanal gloves and I love them. Sad to say but I now have the SITKA SICKNESS and I don’t know if I’ll ever buy a piece of hunting clothing that isn’t Sitka. Except for waders because they all leak eventually and $950 for the Sitka waders is truly a joke. In the area I hunt there are barbed wire fences all over that we have to cross and it’s only a matter of time, even for the best waders.

Never hunted before. I live in Chicago. I train dogs I have a lab pup and we started bird dog training. But I need someone to mentor me on duck hunting. I really want to get into it and go out and learn. So if anyone knows someone or is willing to bring me along let me know!

    Sitka mid-weight is essential!

  7. Roy Miller on January 27, 2023 at 4:44 am

do u think sitka is worth the money

  8. wideopenmx850 on January 27, 2023 at 4:45 am

Never really considered buying any Sitka gear for the longest time until I was at the store one day and tried on the duck oven jacket. He is totally right, it is one of the best jackets you’ll ever buy. Worth the money if you hunt where it gets really cold!

Please do review the Rogers breathable waders. I’ve been hunting out of Lacrosse breathable for the past two seasons but not sure how much more I’ll get out of them. May his ahead and get a new pair for next season.

Leggings are the answer friend! No pants up or socks down

  12. ZK on January 27, 2023 at 4:49 am

I can’t shoot with gloves on. Idk how people do it.

  13. Tyler Lower on January 27, 2023 at 4:50 am

I loved those waders if they didn’t leak right out of the box 😢

  14. PhlyanPan on January 27, 2023 at 4:50 am

Poor man’s decoy glove –I wear a rag wool glove and put a XL nitrile 9mil glove from harbor freight over top of it to keep it dry. Works for me in most weather and I can shoot in it too if I want to.

  15. Yup on January 27, 2023 at 4:51 am

Dux thermal sweats are CRAZY warm! I love em. If I have to walk a bunch and/or break ice, they’re almost too hot! For field hunting geese when it’s single digits they are seriously awesome!

  16. Somewhere In Wisconsin on January 27, 2023 at 4:52 am

Good vid, Josh! The decoy gloves are clutch. I use them all the time in November and December here in Wisconsin.

One thing that I like to wear when it’s really getting cold is a neck gaiter, either fleece or polypropylene, pretty versatile, you can pull it up over your ears with a ball cap on or just leave it around your neck

Pro tip for keeping pants/socks from rising is hockey shin pad tape

  25. Gooseman Outdoors on January 27, 2023 at 5:01 am

Wear knee high pantyhose under ur socks!!! No joke… my buddy told me that secret this year and I tried it… it works!!! May feel like Mrs. Doubtfire but ur toes will be watm.

  26. Jesse Graves on January 27, 2023 at 5:02 am

I wore a synthetic long sleeve, hoodie, and the duck oven in -20 degree weather last Friday. Only time I got cold was once my sweat started to cool me off.

  27. carey broussard on January 27, 2023 at 5:04 am

how can i get a pair of those dux sweat pants???

  28. MickyG Times on January 27, 2023 at 5:06 am

Try a Marino wool liner under a set of Marino wool socks. Those socks suck. I know because you said your feet got cold. And no sock is going to give you cushioning.

I have thought that Sitka gear was retarded but now I might have to try that duck oven 👀.

  32. Luke Schumacher on January 27, 2023 at 5:10 am

How does the dux hoodies fit? I have heard a lot about people having to order a size down.

  33. Dylan King on January 27, 2023 at 5:11 am

    Come to ga and hunt

  34. Quack Attack on January 27, 2023 at 5:12 am

Here’s what you need in California, waders, basketball shorts, super think long socks to protect your legs from rubbing your rubber wader boots, a long sleeve camo shirt. If it’s cold, throw on a sweat shirt, if it’s raining wear a jacket. You are going to sweat through the sweatshirt and jacket, cause we don’t get winter until turkey season is starting 🥵

  35. Cash Bleier on January 27, 2023 at 5:12 am

How tall are you? I’m worried about getting those pants because it doesn’t seem like it will fit someone with a 34 inseam

  45. Trayson Whitworth on January 27, 2023 at 5:29 am

I would love to buy all of this but it’s expensive and I’m probably gonna grow a few more sizes before I’m done growing so I’m not sure about that lol.

Should you like match camos like a max 5 blades and sidka camos or like is ok to mix like a different shade or camo under layers showing through or?

  47. Juan Garcia on January 27, 2023 at 5:31 am

Is masking body scents still important when waterfowl hunting?

  48. Jake Yanchisin on January 27, 2023 at 5:33 am
